Quinta do Torneiro is a historical manor house built in the 18th century, being the earliest record of 1784. In 1784, it is known that Quinta do Torneiro belonged to Feliciana Teresa da Mota. Later, it will have been offered by D. Maria I to the bishop who was her confessor. Over the years, it has been lived in by noblemen, diplomats and today it is a reference in the organization of parties and weddings. Today, Quinta do Torneiro is the scenario for the most beautiful destination weddings in Portugal and adapts perfectly to all kind of events.

The house of Quinta do Torneiro has about 1,700m2, where roughly 1,000m2 is the Manor House and 64,000m2 is land. It has a lovely Chapel - it used to be the family’s chapel before - spacious rooms with big windows, high ceilings and decorated with Portuguese tiles. In its interior you will find excellent examples of the historical Portuguese tiles that portray the daily life of the 18th century and bring your guests back in time.

The Courtyard Garden of Quinta do Torneiro in Portugal is the biggest garden of our venue. It has a big tree with a lovely swing.  The Courtyard Garden is located right in front of the Chapel, the entrance hall and the Fireplace Room.

Crest Room

At Quinta do Torneiro, the Crest Room has big windows that brighten the space and direct access to the entrance hall and the covered terrace. The Crest Room has this name because of the old crest carpet that is hanging on the wall above the fireplace.

Chapel

The Chapel of Quinta do Torneiro is in the center of the house. Access to the main entrance, which includes the Chapel, is made by an entrance patio, currently lawned, fully enclosed to the outside and open to the Quinta.

Caravel Room

The Caravel Room can be used for events and weddings in Portugal together with our other three rooms. It has Portugueses tiles that decorate the classic walls. The tiles tell the history of the house and have been there for almost 300 years.

Noble Room

The Noble Room of Quinta do Torneiro has big windows that brighten the whole room and access directly to the covered terrace. The tiles are green only in this room, with a green ceiling to match which illustrate the history of Quinta do Torneiro.

Fireplace Room

At Quinta do Torneiro, the Fireplace Room has direct access to the entrance hall and the Caravel Room. It is right in front of the Chapel and of the Courtyard Garden. The Fireplace Room can be used together with our other three rooms or separately.
